Cap d' Antibes

Bonjour!! I hope everyone is doing well today!  Today was another BEAUTIFUL day in the French Riviera--77 degrees and Sunny!  The forecast for the next 10 days is supposed to be sunny and mid-70s as well :) Be jealous.  We went hiking on the Cap d'Antibes today.  We took a 10 minute bus ride down to the Bay of Millionaires and then hiked all the way back to our apartment from there.  The path was along the coast the entire way and was just breathtaking.  The water is so clear and blue/turquoise.  I still cannot believe that I am living here for the next few weeks.  Along the coast were all homes worth millions of dollars, including the home of a Russian mafia man...just thought that was funny.  The coast is considered public even though the houses have jetty's and stairs, etc into the water, so we were able to use their diving boards and ladders and swim for a bit.  The Mediterannean is VERY salty compared to any ocean I have been in.  You barely have to tread water to stay afloat.  The water is still very cold, but after hiking for a while, it felt refreshing.  After our quick dip in the water, we continued our trail along the coast back to Antibes.  It took a total of 4 hours from the time we left our apartment this morning to the time we got back.  Many of the people got sunburned, but luckily I used a lot of SPF so I was safe!  After the hike, we all came back and napped and caught up on blogs, pictures, etc.  We then had another group dinner.  We went to a very nice restaurant and had a three course meal.  My appetizer was cooked zucchini, my main course was salmon with mashed potatoes with a spinach sauce, and my dessert was a lavendar creme brulee.  It was absolutely fantastic.  They also provided us with a white wine to go along with our dinners.  Tomorrow we are ziplining and doing ropes in the forest so we are going to bed very soon.  I am going to shoot for the black level which is the hardest but we'll see what I decide tomorrow morning when I get there and see the courses.  Love you all!
