Skema Business School

Today was a pretty relaxed day.  We took a bus from the main square at 9:30 to Skema Business School.  When we got there, my ACIS Information Systems class had our lecture/discussion for the day.  The other class then came about an hour later and joined us.  When we were all together we had a guest speaker from WVU named Christian talk to us about Web 2.0 and the benefits of social networking and online businesses.  After he was done speaking we had a second speaker talk to us about Hospitality and Tourism Management in the French Riviera.  After the two seminars were over, we ate lunch at the Skema cafeteria.  I must say--I am VERY glad that Virginia Tech has amazing food because our lunch was an uncooked burger patty with french fries.  Trying to avoid getting sick, I stuck to the fries and a bean/corn salad.  After lunch, around 2:00pm, me and the ACIS classmates took the bus back to Antibes while the other class had their seminar at Skema.  We got back and just spent the rest of the day poolside relaxing and unwinding.  Once all of us were reunited, we all went on a search for delicious Italian cuisine.  We found a great little cafe that is located in the open air market (which closes at noon so the restaurants that are around it use it for extra seating).  I had raviolis with a mushroom cream sauce--absolutely magnificent!! It was delicious.  All the food I have had so far (besides the cafeteria food) has been amazing.  I really have to watch it thought because with all these pastas and breads I am going to be as big as a house by the time I come back! Ha! After dinner we all got gelato.  Again, so delicious.  Mine tasted like a Snickers candy bar.  Yum.  I know my dad is jealous ;)  The rest of the evening was spent in one of the apartments just sitting around telling stories and drinking wine.  I great way to end a great day.  Tomorrow we head to Grasse, which is the perfume capital of the world and known as the "Perfume City" in France.  I will post more about that tomorrow.  More pictures to come later this weekend as well.  Love you all.  Kisses xoxo
